Meter Repair Electrician

K.P.C. Energy Metering Solutions Ltd. (KPC EMS) is looking for a METER REPAIR ELECTRICIAN for our growing business in Simcoe County, Ontario. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Install, construct, and repair 120/240, 120/208, 347/600-volt electrical systems in a residential, commercial, or industrial environment adhering to the OESC and industry standards.

• Interpret low-voltage electrical and communication blueprints, schematics, and diagrams for planning and executing installations and terminations in construction projects.

• Champion a strong commitment to safety regulations and protocols.

• Stay current with developments in the OESC and ensure all construction and termination work aligns with applicable regulations.

• Maintain comprehensive records of all low-voltage communications, construction and termination work, including compliance documentation and project logs.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU

• Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.

• Able to troubleshoot electrical circuits with the aid of drawings, prints, and analytics.

• Positive, proactive, and high energy level, comfortable performing all activities within a power system in conjunction with day-to-day activities.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, adapt to new and rapidly
changing situations.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues,
clients, other contractors, and members of the public.

• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Detail oriented.

• Physically fit, able to lift various types and weights of equipment.

• Safety conscious and willing to learn and adapt to changing technologies in
the industry.

• A clean driving record, minimum G class license required. Ability to travel throughout Ontario, including some overnight.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary education in an electrical discipline is an asset

• A valid 309A Electrical License issued by the Ontario College of Trades

• 5-10 years of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical construction experience from a trade perspective

SKILLSETS

• In-depth familiarity with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) and industry-specific construction and termination standards

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail

• Strong communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Residential, commercial, and industrial site environment; travel to job sites; working at heights; walking; lifting weight >50lbs

• Inclement weather conditions a possibility

• Coverage area Orillia, Barrie, Alliston, Bolton
