Meter Reader

K.P.C. Energy Metering Solutions Ltd. (KPC EMS) is looking for METER READER for our growing business in the Southern Ontario Region. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Provide services in the areas of metering of energy services

• Reading utility electric meters locally and downloading billing data with the use of specific software.

• Record readings and store data appropriately.

• Check meter installations for any damage, unauthorized connections, or defects to the metering equipment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU

• Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to work alone safely for most tasks.

• Punctual with scheduled appointments.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to manage time effectively.

• Ability to interact courteously and professionally with customers.

• Knowledge of safety practices for working in potentially hazardous environments.

• As this role involves fieldwork, a valid class G driver’s license with a clean record and reliable vehicle is required.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• High school diploma

• Post-secondary education in an electrical discipline an asset

• Knowledge of or the ability to learn Itron MV90 Interval Data Software
